In plain language

Yours to hear. Stream and download from official portals for your own life and ears.

Mine to own. Masters, name, and rights stay with me. Free access is not a transfer of ownership.

Ours to grow. If the work matters, a tip keeps the human able to add more — honest growth, not a paywall.

You may

You may not (without written permission)

  • Claim the music as your own or rebrand/white-label it
  • Sell tracks, paid packs, or monetize redistribution of the masters
  • Use as commercial soundtrack, ad, game, or brand campaign without a deal
  • Strip credits, ledger/CAS identity, or this license to hide origin
  • Sell closed AI products built primarily by scraping this catalog

Support (optional)

Never required for listen or download. Gifts do not buy exclusive ownership of masters.

What this license covers

The license covers personal listening to the public streams and sharing links to the catalog. It does not cover re-uploading the audio, selling the files, or presenting the catalog as your own. The public player is the listening surface; the store links are the purchase route where a release exists.

What it does not cover

It is not a sync license, a sample clearance, or a commercial-use grant. A video, game, podcast, or ad that uses a track needs a separate permission. A lyric can be quoted briefly with attribution; the full text cannot be republished or sold.

How to ask

Use the contact page with the track title, the intended use, the platform, and whether money is involved. A clear request gets a clear answer. If the use is commercial, include a timeline.

Why the line exists

The catalog is free to hear because the artist chose to expose the streams. That choice does not erase ownership. The line protects the work while keeping the public room open; it is the same line described in the essays and the streams-vs-masters guide.

What free means here

Free means free to hear, not free to own. The public stream is a listening copy; the master is the archival source. The license is deliberately narrow so the public room can stay open without pretending the catalog has no owner.

Common questions

Can you share a link? Yes. Can you quote a lyric? A short quotation with attribution, yes. Can you put a track in a monetized video? Ask first. Can you re-upload the file to another platform? No. Can you train a commercial model on the catalog? Ask first; the public stream is not a training license.

If the answer is unclear, ask before publishing. A short email is cheaper than a takedown.

Attribution

When you quote a lyric or reference a track, name Justin Helmer / Excavationpro and link to the public page. Attribution is not a substitute for permission on a commercial use, but it is the minimum for an editorial one. A link also lets a reader check the context instead of trusting a screenshot.

A final note

If you are unsure whether a use is personal or commercial, describe it plainly and ask. The answer may be no, but the request is the honest starting point, and it keeps the public room open for the next listener.
